As part of the Morwenstow Patronal Festival we will gather in the main bar to recite poems, sing songs, drink ale and eat pasties! Everyone welcome as participants or audience members.

THE BEN COOLEN WRECKERS

As part of the Morwenstow Patronal Festival we will be joined by the Ben Coolen Wreckers - a group of lusty Bude fellows - who will sing us a selection of sea shanties and other rousing songs.

THE BARREL BORDER MORRIS

MARK BEN WILSON

6.30pm - In the late afternoon of Morwenstow Patronal Festival Day we have the newly formed Barrel Border Morris side who will grace us with their presence and perform a range of traditional dances.

8.30pm - In the evening, Mark Ben Wilson will entertain us in the main bar. This hugely talented singer/guitarist will be performing a selection of covers as well as his own compositions combining percussive techniques and vocals to create a captivating sound.

EZMAY GRACE

Ezmay Grace is a talented contemporary folk musician from Cornwall with a voice like an angel. Her original works echo the styles of artists such as Joni Mitchell and Kate Rusby and with her live performances she has something for everyone.

 

Sunday 7th July – 6pm

THE ACOUSTIC FOLK

Our loyal band of local Folkies turn out to end the weekend in their own inimitable style. Watch out for Shirley on the bodhran.

Get down and dirty with this Blues based one man guitar and harp show with beats supplied by electrified stomp box. Expect some stunning slide guitar work accompanied by gritty vocals.

Steve joins us once again to perform a set of classic cover versions of audience favourites. He may also slip in a few of his own songs from his two albums (which may well be on sale in the interval!)

SHANNON AMY LEWIS

 A rising star of the North Devon music scene, Shannon will be performing a selection of carefully chosen covers as well as some of her own compositions. Definitely not to be missed.

FOUR DANG LIARS

Kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend, the Four Dang Liars are a guitar wielding Cornish Rock, Punk'n'Roll band. With a quirky set list their songbook contains tunes by Green Day, Foo Fighters, Oasis, Reef, The Black Keys, Sex Pistols, The Beatles, The Kings Of Leon, Metallica, The Jam, The Clash and the Stereophonics to name but a few.

WESTERLY 5 OR 6

A really special event for Bank Holiday Sunday: Westerly 5 or 6 are a four piece band who interweave vocals, guitars, bazouki, bass, fiddle, flute, whistle and sax with occasional percussion, to interpret tunes from the Celtic & Americana tradition.
